Before a Security Officer is
considered for employment, he or she must meet the following
criteria:
Personal Interview
This is to ensure that all potential candidates can effectively
communicate with clients and can conduct themselves in a
professional, mature, responsible and courteous manner, and are
able to make vital decisions on their own. We make every effort
possible to recruit candidates that have at least two years of
experience as security officers.
DMV Records
GuardPower requires all applicants to have a valid drivers’
license, clean DMV record and a reliable vehicle.
Employment, Education and Credit History
All candidates must provide information on at least four years
of verifiable employment history. We painstakingly review and
verify past employments to ensure all potential candidates are
eligible to work as security officers. We also require that all
GuardPower security officers possess valid Guard Cards prior to
taking on-site assignments.
Additionally, GuardPower thoroughly investigates each
candidate’s educational background and credit history to ensure
the accuracy of the information provided to GuardPower.
GuardPower requires a high school diploma or equivalent to
qualify for a security officer position.
Criminal
Background Check and Drug Testing
GuardPower requires that all candidates take a State and
National Live Scan. It is our strict requirement that all
candidates must have clean criminal background. There is
absolutely no exception to this requirement.
Random alcohol and drug tests are also performed to ensure that
our Officers and Field Supervisors maintain the highest level of
professionalism at all times.
